Past & Present Car Show to be held August 17th

The Past and Present Car Show is back August 17th at the Wyeth - Tootle Mansion. Public Relations Officer, Kathy Reno, says St. Joseph Museum has partnered with the Knuckle Draggers Car Club to bring the car show to the mansion every other year.

"And they love to show not only classic cars, but cars that have been adapted a unique way.  So you'll see everything from the past to things that have been done in the present that are beautiful and amazing.  And so they like to have a pinstriper on hand.  They'll be vendors, a food vendor, music, a goody bag, and that kind of thing."

According to Reno, those wanting to show a car can register a vehicle between 8 and 10 the morning of the show.

"They do ask for a donation of $10 to register a car, but you can register that morning and be there.  Admission is just a dollar and it's free for children 8 and under."

Reno adds there are several things to do for people of all ages at this car show.

"People of all ages get a real kick out of the cars.  They will like it.  They enjoy the goody bags but they also love touring the mansion.  The mansion has lots of exhibits to the architecture - what makes St. Joseph's architecture unique."

The Past and Present Car Show is 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on August 17th at the Wyeth - Tooth Mansion on Charles Street in St. Joseph.
